While living by the motto, "If you can dream it, you can do it," I have written books and designed a theme park. Now to get the books published and open the park.
Assuming they let me back up on the stage at the Golden Kite Luncheon (which I'm thinking they will, since I talked with Lin Oliver about it), I have officially decided what I will be singing at the 2009 SCBWI Nationals in L.A.
And no, I'm not revealing it.
All I can say is that it will be the most excruciatingly epic yet. Book your flights now.
Haha, yes for the last two years in a row I've sung a capella at the SCBWI Conference in LA at the Golden Kite Luncheon (Hence my blog's name). The first year was part of a singing competition, the second year I was up there by myself. I'm awful, but it's fun, I love playing the huge crowd.
Oh, and I'm glad you like my little counter, it keeps me honest on my progress, since everyone can see. But I can't take credit for it; I stole it from Casey (Lapillus) up there.
Graeme had a video of last year's performance, but it unfortunately would not convert to the computer from his digital camera. So we just have the one picture ^

And Katie, you've gotta figure out a way to go!
I'm with you all the way bruthah. We're roommates!
Dang it! Now Beer:30 is in too! Maybe I should set out my cyber cup and people can drop change in it:-)
I'm loving your new WIP counter thing.
Yeah, Paul! Rockin' Roomies! Bringin' the Beer:30 back!
Katie, you should enter the SCBWI tuition contest.

Oh, wish I could go and see/hear that! Hopefully you'll post a video for those of us stuck on the east coast.
